Providence Waterfront Reggae Festival

I absolutely love love love doing concert photography. Last weekend I got to shoot for legendary roots reggae bands Steel Pulse and Third World at India Point Park on the Providence Waterfront, during ten hours of live Reggae, Roots, and Dancehall. The Providence waterfront reggae festival is an annual event and this years performers also included Yellowman, Mighty Mystic, High Hopes Band and The Copacetics.

Back when I was a radio DJ at WERS for Rockers at 88.9FM I used to play Steel Pulse classics (Steppin Out, Roller Skates, Chant a Psalm, Your House) and Third World (96 Degrees in the Shade) almost every night. It was truly an inspiring and humbling experience to get to photograph them performing live in Providence.
